Little Sibs come to visit!!

The past 2 weeks have been perfect! Steph, Jenni, and Ben drove in from Colorado and we had a blast! First things first, Ben jumped on the chopper to test it out, but found that his legs were a little long for it! Jacklynn pretty much got no love from ALL of her aunts!

We went up to Michigan to visit my grandparents while they were here. The whole Foley side of the family was there except my mom. It was tons of fun! They live right next to Lake Eerie...this was Jacklynn's first lake experience!

While in Michigan, we took a day trip to Cedar Point. Jacklynn went on her first amusement park ride. It was a little boat that went in a circle. She looks thrilled about it...

For the 4th, we headed to the lake with a bunch of friends. It was a great day! Jack clocked some serious lake time with the big girls and loved it! Then took a little snooze on the boat. She truly is a flexible baby!

All in all it was so fun having family time! Our house is a little quieter now, but I definitely miss them all! I wish Colorado wasn't so far away...but we will make it! On a more positive note, Jacklynn is sitting up all by herself now! She also learned how to do rasberries with her mouth along with all kinds of other noises. It is so cute!

5 Months Old Today!!

Jacklynn is officially 5 months old today! This past month has been full of so many exciting adventures. We have been visiting the zoo on a weekly basis. This is Jacklynn and Ashlyn on our first trip to the shark tank followed by some pics of Jack and I hanging out outside!

Two weeks ago Jacklynn started eating real food. She has had cereal, avocado, sweet potatoes, and bananas. So far the only food she does not like is bananas. She actually gags on them!

My mom came to visit two weeks ago. It was so great to have her hear...just hanging out and helping out with things!

An exhausting day at the water park...

While mom was here, she spoke at a conference at IWU. Jacklynn spent the night with her up there and enjoyed the "Country Western Day" as well.
For Father's Day, the bear and I served daddy breakfast in bed! Only the best for the best daddy!
Mom helped me take all the kids to the zoo. Of course we picked the day it was pouring down rain....but it was still fun!

Baby Maxwell was born last Tuesday to Jon and Rachel McCord (Nic's cousin) and we went to visit. He is so precious and Rachel looks/did/and is doing amazing!

Mom and I took Jacklynn up to visit my grandparents in Michigan. While we were there, we spent some time with my cousin's 3 week old baby, Aubreigh. Here are a few pics of Jack and Aubreigh along with some other pictures from Michigan

On Saturday, Jacklynn went to her first wedding. It was one of my friends from childhood, Erin Woodbury. Doesn't she look amazing? The baby on the left is Noah Johnston. It was so fun introducing her to so many friends that I have grown up with! Crazy how life changes!

My cousin Davey was one of the groomsmen. He proposed to his girlfriend Amanda later that night! Congrats Davey and Amanda!

Playing Outside

This week has been unbelievably hot, but sunny in Indiana, so we have clocked lots of outdoor playtime. On Thursday, I brought all the kids I babysit over to my friends house where she had her own plus all the kids she babysits and another friend with her kids as well. All together there where 11 kids under 5.....ha! So, we had to take a picture. Here are Evan, Jonathan, Brendan, Matthew, Ashlyn, Ethan, Jacklynn, Ashton, Logan, Lexa, and Avery all actually sitting still on the couch before heading to the massive blow up pool in the backyard!

Then I officially joined the mom club and planned a playdate on Friday at the barn...complete with a double wide slip n slide, sprinkler, 2 blow up pools, and 2 baby pools. Jacklynn and Ashlyn loved these little pools!

This weekend we were up at the lake a little bit hanging out with grandma and grandpa McCord. Jacklynn is definitely starting to get used to sun, water, and boating.

She had her 4 month check up this week and she officially weighs 17.25 pounds and is 25 1/2 inches long. Whoa! The doctor said she is perfect (of course!) in all ways and was even impressed with her 12 hour per night snoozes and her ability to hold her head up. I know all these activities could make a young one tired, but don't worry about Jack getting overwhelmed. We still make plenty of time for naps!

Memorial Day Weekend

This Memorial Day Weekend was great! It was our first weekend to spend most of the time at the lake...with Jacklynn. She loved the pool and the dock and hanging out with the fam!

We went to Carb Day on Friday at the speedway. I am not really sure what Carb Day is, but basically there were a lot of people, it was really hot, and we got to see the cars go around the track in some sort of race that I am still not quite certain about. Jacklynn had ear plugs in, but didn't seem to mind the heat or the loud noises or all the sweaty people around her (including her momma!).

Also, we went to Indiana Downs for the horse races Friday night. She learned how to make noise and how to find her feet this week, so she showed off for everyone we saw.

Oh and we let her sit in a high chair a couple of times too. She is not quite big enough, but was definitely excited about being at the table. She started laughing and moving her hands around when we put her in it!

Seriously, watching her is so entertaining!! These are just a few other fun pics from the weekend...

Chic-Fil-A

Chic-Fil-A is a weekly staple in the life of a nanny/mommy. The playplace is great if there are not to many kids (even for little tykes) and the food somehow feels healthier and of course they have Diet Dr. Pepper! This past week Sophie discovered the flowers and Jacklynn explored the tree. They both seemed to enjoy these things!

This weekend we will probably be spending a lot of time at the lake. Jacklynn is a little unsure about this...
