Another Trip to Colorado

Last Wednesday, Jack and I headed to Colorado to visit my parents, sisters, and brother. Jacklynn was a little more active on the plane ride, but still did great! She entertained all those sitting around her by talking, smiling, and laughing. She even got her own seat on one flight! The Castillos (My Dad's Sister's Family) were so excited we came to visit also. Jessie and Nathan took care of feeding Jacklynn.
We are working on crawling...but for now it is only backwards. Jacklynn ends up underneath all kinds of objects, including this ottoman. It is entertaining to watch her try to crawl though. She likes to push up onto her toes in the push up position and then fall forward!
We were in the Springs for the first Colts game, but showed our loud and proud believe in blue spirit anyways!
This is my sister Steph and her boyfriend Jason at one of two volleyball games that we watched my other sister Jenni play while we were there.

All day Saturday was devoted to walking...Walgreens, the park, Seven Falls.
This is at Seven Falls, one of the tourist attractions. It was about 250 steps straight up over the waterfall. I'm not gonna lie...I was a little nervous! If you slipped at all, it would not have been pretty! And the whole ride Jacklynn was with my dad in the backpack...

In Colorado, we are never short of sporting events to attend. The bleachers were a lot of fun at Uncle Ben's basketball game!
We arrived home Tuesday...a day late due to a cancelled flight on Monday. It was awesome hanging out with the family! We definitely miss them a lot and love every second we get to spend together! Daddy missed us though...so he gave Jacklynn a bath last night when we got home...we were proud of his wall art!
I could not resist this picture! Jacklynn was a little fussy tonight after dinner, so I decided to let her explore the tupperware cabinet...I think she enjoyed it!

And Baby B in mommy's tummy!!! We just found out that we are having a baby due to make his/her debut on April 13, 2008. We are so pumped!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Being a girl is all about having fun! And making little girl friends! For starters, Jacklynn fits perfectly in her diaper box and has so much fun riding around the living room in it!
This is Masie. Masie is the little girl I watched the whole time I was pregnant. We got the chance to hang out with her for a couple days a few weeks ago. Jack and Masie instantly bonded!

SLEEPOVER!! Jacklynn had Kayla and Emma over for a sleepover! The older girls were a little more excited than Jacklynn, but if you can see Jacklynn's face in the swing picture she seems to be having the time of her life also!

Of course! Jacklynn's favorite girl is MAMA! This picture was at my birthday lunch where all kinds of people surprised me to celebrate my birthday over lunch! It was so fun!

Maddie and Jacklynn are about 6 weeks apart. Both of their daddies work together, so fittingly they hang out. We went to the fair together and had a great time!

Aunt Lisa had a birthday too! So, of course, we had to go out to lunch and shopping! Cause thats what girls do, right?!
And finally, we have taken many a trip to the water park this summer. This fountain Jacklynn is playing with is her favorite! She could literally sit there for hours!
Emma, Jacklynn, Kayla, and Mason...they are all some sort of distant cousins!

Noah and Jack. These two are 3 months apart. (Noah is older!) But they got along so well in the water...
Well, most of the time! They were so cute touching each other though. Just trying to figure it all out!

Six Month Pics

another summer day has come and gone away...

Jacklynn loves people! Over the past couple weeks she has really started to light up whenever we visit with friends, esp. kids. It is so cute to see how excited she is to play! These first few pictures are of Maddie and Jackie. Maddie is one of Nic's coworkers babies. She is about 6 weeks older than Jacklynn. They had so much fun playing together...Jacklynn would take Maddie socks, while Maddie grabbed Jacklynn's hair. Oh girl fights...I think they will be friends forever!

Jacklynn turned 6 months old on the 25th of July. At her doctor's appointment we found out that she now weighs almost 20 pounds and is 25 inches long. She is perfectly healthy!

Sophie and Jackie in the pool...Sophie is 18 months now and Jacklynn's some-kind-of cousin. It is precious though because Sophie knows Jackie's name and says it all the time when they are together!

Last weekend, Cara was in the wedding of her best friend Jamie Woodburn. Jacklynn got to go to the rehearsal dinner, but stayed home for the wedding. It was a beautiful wedding in Carmel followed by a reception at the Omni downtown. Probably one of the prettiest receptions I have ever been to! Congrats Jamie and Matt!

Aunt Ca left for school this week...so we had to clock lots of time with her. I love it when she is around cause she grabs the camera and takes all the pictures I want, but can't take when I am by myself...like this one!!

Grandma McCord bought this hat for this winter...Jacklynn loved the braids and I think it is the cutest thing ever!
We had to get in the state fair before Cara left, even if it meant going on opening day when the temperature was somewhere in the upper 90s and the humidity took the air right out of ya! It was fun anyway! Grandpa Cecil saw this wagon and couldn't pass it up...Jack was born to ride in a wagon!

Horsies!! She loved the animals, but was so tired and hot by the end she could not even react.

Adam went with Cara back to Florida. He is getting a job and they are going to be roommates. I am so proud of him for doing it, but we will definitely miss them both! We love you Adam and Ca!
